Stack and Tilt Instruction

The best stack and tilt Instruction is by far the stack and tilt video series. However the basics of the stack and tilt golf swing are as follows:

The set up is in complete contrast to a conventional golf swing with weight distribution slightly favouring the left-foot (for right-handers) with ball position being more central.

Traditional golf instruction suggests that not only should a player bend forward to the ball from his hips, but also the spine should angle backwards slightly away from the target. Stack and tilt instruction dictates that the player keeps his weight much more central throughout the swing without much lateral movement. Going to the top of the swing the weight goes slightly more onto the front foot and the player tilts slightly forward towards the target. This can actually be viewed quite clearly in the slo-mo of stack and tilt player Aaron Baddeley

Due to the restriction of lateral movement in the stack and tilt swing, the golfer automatically performs a swing led by the upper torso that is steeper into the ball making for a nice crisp contact, and a longer flat follow through that makes for good shot consistency. As the weight doesn’t go over to the back foot there is no chance that the weight will stay back as is a common swing fault.

By far the best stack and tilt instruction is the DVD program by the swings creators – golf teachers Mike Bennett and Andy Plummer.
